♫ apples and orangees, bannanas and grapes ♫ ♥
After running around the botanical gardens for school sport yesterday, I ate a peeled orange from my lunch while waiting for a tram to take me home and it got me thinking about when I would have been younger, young enough to play sport at school and have a plate of sliced oranges laid out for us.
Young enough to grab orange slices and cram them into our mouths and laughing at the umpteenth time when we had stuck the peel into our mouths and smiled an orangey grin, baring our bright ‘fangs’, not really thinking abt the flavour of those oranges.
“Did we really taste those oranges?” as I ate the oranges in my present state - tired and breathing heavily as I was.
Chances are - they would have tasted just like the oranges i was eating today, sweet and with a hint of acidity to them, like my memories, this one; with a hint of oranges.
